Hand-Working Fiber and Fabrics
Crafters 10 years-old through adult will be introduced to time-honored basics of manipulating fibers and fabrics. Along with specific technique, emphasis will be on designing and creating practical garments or wearable art. To participate, please bring fine fingers, a modicum of patience, and the ability to sit still for two hours at a time. Regrettably, rocking chairs will not be available.
- Knitting or Crochet
- Sewing Construction by hand or machine, Clothing Design, Pattern Making
- Fabric Design: Silk Painting, Surface Printing, Tie-Dye, Vat Dying
- Needlework: Embroidery, Quilting, Appliqué
